Allowed Directories Locations for User Installed Software

There are a few options for local users installation locations:

The user Home directory on a subdirectory of his home directory, for example /home/mygroup/username/soft/myapplication.

The shared Data disk at /data/GROUP/USER, for example /data/mygroup/username/soft/myapplication.

A share group Data disk at /data/GROUP/soft, for example /data/mygroup/soft/myapplication; this location will be available on request and one user, or more, must be appointed to manage the area.

An NFS shared disk at /exper-sw/GROUP, only available for a few legacy groups, it will be moved to the shared group Data disk whenever possible.

NOTE Some applications may have dependencies requiring cluster wide installtion of packages, please contact the INCD support helpdesk on those cases.
